For every 15 members on your Alumni Chapter roster, (new, renewal or lifetime members), the FFA Advisor’s name will be entered in a drawing to have their MAVAT dues paid for the year or their Lifetime Alumni dues paid.
MS FFA Alumni Chapter Basket Contest
You are asked to enter
your FFA Alumni Chapter in the
MS FFA Alumni Chapter Basket Contest.
Each alumni chapter may enter one basket representative of their locality.
It may have homemade goodies, jellies, items made by local companies, home made items, items from the local Ag Department, caps, etc.
Baskets must be delivered to the FFA Alumni booth by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2005. The baskets will be judged that afternoon. The baskets become the property of the MS FFA Alumni Association and will be sold in the auction on Tuesday morning.
A $50.00 award for best basket will be presented at the Alumni breakfast.
CONTEST RULES
- Baskets must be delivered to the MS FFA Alumni booth by 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
- All items must fit securely into the basket and be wrapped with clear cellophane.
- The bottom of the basket cannot be larger than 3X4 feet.
- A list of the items included in the basket must be clearly labeled on the basket.
- The basket can be of any creation.

The purpose of the Legion of Merit Citation is to recognize the National FFA Alumni members who provide leadership and spend their own time and energies to help build the National FFA Alumni Association.
To qualify for the Legion of Merit Citration, you must enroll 15 or more new or renewed National FFA Alumni annual members or 5 new life members for the current membership year. (To determine the number members when combining annual and life memberships, 1 life member = 3 annual members.)

This award recognizes a person who has demonstrated an "outstanding service" to agricultural education, FFA and FFA Alumni, contributing expertise, time, talent, facilities, equipment or sacrifices made beyond the expectations of the job or elected position.
