President's
Message
Some of the best times of my life have been the times,
I have experienced as an FFA Alumni member. It is indeed
very rewarding to see the positive difference that FFA
has made in the lives of so many young people. I have
had the opportunity to watch them grow through FFA during
the past Twelve years.
This past summer was truly a time that
that I will never forget. I had the opportunity to attend
the State FFA President’s leadership conference in
Washington DC. This was an opportunity to meet and talk
with so many FFA State Officers from all across our nation.
It is apparent that when you talk with these outstanding
young people that someone had a positive influence on their
lives and inspired them to set high goals in their lives.
I also had the opportunity to attend the
National FFA Leadership Conference in Omaha, Nebraska. This
year’s theme was Champions of Volunteerism. FFA Alumni
Members are truly Champions of Volunteerism, because we
care enough to give of our time, finances, and talents to
make a positive difference in the lives of our young people.
Don’t think for one minute, that you as one person
can’t make a difference in the life of a young person.
One small spark of support and inspiration can ignite a
young persons life to achieve goals. They may not have ever
attempted without you, not to mention what it will do for
you.
As State Alumni President, I challenge
you to take an active role as an FFA Alumni member in a
local chapter or even more; create a new FFA Alumni Affiliate
for a local FFA Chapter.
Your Mississippi State FFA Alumni Stands
ready to assist you. Call any of your council members. We
all are willing to assist you.
